Anybody out there know the name of that rap song that sampled the beat
from Edie Brickell's most famous song "What I am"?

The song came out around 7 years ago and had the line: "I'll smack you
with hose filled with sand. Now take that to the crack man."

Who was the rapper and what was the name of the song?

Ms. Bee,
we are all getting older. it is interesting that someone could not know
what "Slow Down" is. My personal beef- people who call RUN DMC and
PUBLIC ENEMY "Old School." That shit just pisses me off.

Tuff you don't have to be ashamed; although I did find your question
supremely ironic after I had just cited the sample as one of my favorites
in Fatboys's "Piece by Piece: Best Samples" thread. It's even more
ironic that I found an almost ten year old CD single of this song today
at Encore Records with a PETE ROCK remix and instrumental. Hot damn!
