XLD, the best converter for Mac, doesn't support SHN files. XAct does,
but you have to convert to WAV/AIFF and then to another format (I want
to make AAC files of a bunch of shows from eTree). Are there still no
tools that do the complete conversion from SHN to AAC, or MP3?

Why do you want to convert to AAC? Is it a Mac thing? File size?

I ask, because I use XAct to convert to AIFF, which I use on my Macs
and Mac iPods. Is there an advantage to AACs?

Save space. Put the files on my iPod. I'm not filling my iPods with
AIFFs, and the time to make the double conversion is long, especially
because with xAct it's not easy to do a big batch conversion (ie,
several shows, with the ouptut remaining in original folders). If it
were, I'd just run it overnight.
