Anyone here know anything about the whereabouts of Daniel A.
Kane, the guy who played the chapman stick down near Fisherman's
Wharf? I found his music to be hauntingly beautiful. When i
was in SF this spring, he was nowhere to be seen.....
ODC -- Kane on the Stick would add an awesome dimension to
'Lokks Like Rain"

Daniel just released a new CD, but I forget the name of it
(I get his mailing list advertisements). His address for
business purposes is

Paper Pigeon Music
2215 R Market Street, #243
San Francisco, CA 94114

I got one of his CD's via mail order from that address
last year. His stuff is mellow, solo Stick music.
His firstr CD is called "on The Street Where You LIve"
he plays on the Streets all the time, I am told.

I have a cassette I purchased from Daniel back in 1985 entitled "Summer Nights in the City", when he performed on the street in frisco. I also caught Emmett Chapman playing his Chapman Stick at the Club Lingerie in LA years before.

Hi, Idk if you'll ever see this considering it is so old. But I am friends with Mr. Kane and I uploaded some of his music for him on his YouTube channel. This is the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_5x3127tfuh9mWDth-y9tw
I hope whoever sees this enjoys. He was very excited and I am supposed to help him make a website soon.

Hi,
I saw Mr Kane in San Fran back in 1992 and I bought his "On the Street Where You Live" Album. I'd like to get another one and "Shadows on the Sky" as well. Would you ask Mr Chapman where I might be able to buy his albums?
I am cwe...@gmail.com
(Thanks for getting some of his stuff on You Tube!)
Thank you.

I really hope you can help make him a website. Please let us know if you do! His music is soulful and full of emotion. On the Street Where You Live and Shadows on the Sky are timeless.

It’s been reported The Geez is incommunicado over a Google Groups issue at
his upstate NY ISP. Should we cheer or mourn? ###

(Basically, he told a third party that his Internet provider has changed
the format of Google Groups or Usenet Newsgroups and that he can no longer
post. I proffered the radical notion that Google Groups isn’t the only game
in town and that there are other easy ways to upload his Beach Boys posts
to this venue, but I guess we shall see...)
