Every time I go in there they sell a ton of the stuff.
There are certain types of brands of the butane.
People are buying it by the case.
The same shit ya fill lighters with.
This looks like a fancy type of butane?

I just found out how to make wax with the butane in youtube.
http://www.vice.com/weediquette-show/butane-hash-oil
Is that the same as the honey oil I had back in the 70's?

I am just curious on what people are doing with large quantities of the cans of the fancy butane.
The guy at the store was not to descriptive.

Are that many people doing the oil thing with their weed???
Is this a new thing???
Is it a better weed high?

just curious...........

Making hash and hash oil. I suspect not all that many, it's sort of a pain in the ass, I've never done it but I've seen it done. There are other ways to do it involving washing machines and other things that many people prefer.
No, it's been around a long time.
In many cases, yes.

They're making what's called BHO or "wax". Butane is a mild solvent which, when run through a tube filled with marijuana buds or trim, dissolves the THC crystals into a liquid form which passes through the other end of the tube and into a pyrex dish usually. The butane is then evaporated away to leave behind a concentrated blob of wonderful! Unless I am mistaken, wax is the most potent form of marijuana. It is very strong. Although it's been around for a long time, it's a rather dangerous process and there has been an increase of accidental explosions since wax became more mainstream.
I've been making it myself for a year or two and I am always extremely cautious to the point of banning all cell phones from the yard and sitting alone in the middle of a large open space, sometimes even employing ground straps. I am, after all, dispersing a rather large cloud of explosive gas all around me in a very short period of time. It's still not 100% safe but I do my best. It's the chance I take.
It takes roughly 1 can per ounce of trim so that's where the butane is going.

Well I wouldn't blame eha.., he didn't know booie kicked the bucket, which means he knows just slightly less than the rest of us. RIP booie, who's going to ask the whacky questions now that you are gone?
