Hello,

I am back and see there is still political stuff going on here.

Perhaps I can interject with a fun poll.

What NON-Rock And Roll album has the best artwork?

IMHO, the best is the famous Herb Alpert "Whipped Cream & Other Delights."

The album cover model even has a website. http://www.whippedcreamlady.com/

Anyone who has ever been to a thrift store knows "Whipped Cream...". :)

I have yet see a big city thrift store that doesn't have it.

My other favorite is "Memories Are Made of This" by Ray Conniff. The
CD artwork does not do this justice.

I have the orginal album. The entire color scheme is of a soft purple
hue. Very beautiful. So is the girl (wink).

Generally speaking, I believe that the late 1950s - late 1960s "easy
listening" albums (the ones always spotted at thrift stores in
abundance) provide the best designed album artwork of the era.

Most feature mature, elegant adult ladies dressed for a night of
socializing and slow dancing. Really great stuff.

In your opinion, what do you think is the best non-rock album cover?

I got that on 8 track when I was a kid. It, and about 50 other 8 tracks
(including a lot of Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, and Grateful Dead),
along with my portable 8 track player that I used to bring down to
Revere Beach are sitting in a box in my parents' basement.

An outstanding cover (and album) is Lara St. John's "Bach Works for
Violin Solo"

Another excellent album (and cover) of Lara's is "Gypsy"

Lara's been one of my favorite violinists for a handful of years now.
Her technique's amazing.

Hello, alll,

A while back I recieved 4 CD-Rs of outtakes from George Harrison's ALL
THINGS MUST PASS album.

Since this is only 4 out of 5 or 6 disc set I don't see the point of
keeping them. Time to clear off my desk.

4 discs is enough, IMHO, anyway. You will have more than your fill of
these outtakes after disc 2.

First one who emails me with an address gets these 4 CD audio discs
dropped in Tuesdays mail.
