It is an all-around antiseptic, general use magic goop! :) We've been
using it for 20+ years, and would never be without Bag Balm in our
house! A big tin in the barn for the scrapes and cuts the horses get, a
smaller tin for the cats and dogs, and a small tin for human use.
The stuff WORKS - it's the only thing I have ever seen that makes a cat
scratch stop stinging immediately. Works on chapped hands, chapped
lips... and heals bigger cuts and scratches, including big gaping holes
in a goat's head (my neighbor's goat). It doesn't sting at all, and
takes the hurt away, even on burns - immediately. I have never seen
anything quite like it, but it does work.
And, BTW - it's not actually possible to stick your hand "up" cow
udders. An udder is basically a long nipple (teat), and the milk comes
out the holes in the bottom (more than one hole, like human nipples)
when appropriately stroked and pulled firmly. A sore udder is a BAD
thing, and leaving a cow unmilked because her teats are sore can cause
engorgement, which is very painful. Bag Balm soothes both the cow's
udders, and the milker's hands.
It's amazing stuff. If you ever find a tin, buy it! :) And use it
whenever you need too - chapped hands, stings, scrapes, cuts, big open
wounds... pack it with Bag Balm and it will heal without any pain. The
fact that it stops cat scratches from stinging is incredible to me - I
have never found anything else that works on cat scratches without
stinging worse.

Excellent information.
Thanks, Steve and Sherry.
I need some. My hands are so dry
and chapped and I have dermatitis,
very painful. Calendula products
work well, but can't afford 'em.

Meant to say that udders are comparable to breasts, and each teat
(there are 4) is basically a long nipple... etc
I recommended this to you last week!
G.
You are a wonderful wealth of information!
I didn't quite understand the name,
you know how my phone is...(stupid phone)
but we were talking about another problem
or condition, IIRC.
Thank you, darlin'.
Next week I should be able to maybe
afford a bit besides absolute essentials.
:)
