This one didn't get through the first time, I wonder why? So we try
again. It's just for fun, anyway! Can anyone recognize it's origin?

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for our favourite daytime
fun-show "Let's make a dope-deal!"

And today we have with us BOB!

Welcome Bob. You've told me that you have a phd, an md (etc). Now all
of us is wondering, - what made you drop out?"

"Well some people think it was an acid trip I took, you know..."

"Aha, but what was it really, Bob?"

"I played Black Sabbath at 78-speed, man."

"And what happened?"

"I saw God!"

"You saw god!
You've told me that you have a hobby. You make candles."

"Yeah, they're really neat tablecandles..."

"Tablecandles, Bob?"

"Yeah, you pour wax on a table, and you set it on fire, man."

"Oh, that's a nice hobby. And now to todays contest. You see these
three doors in front of you?"

"Yeah."

"Behind one of these doors is fifty pounds of Libanese blond hasch..."

(the studio audience: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

"Makes your eyes red just thinking about them, huh?"

"Behind the other two doors are narcs. And now to our first question
and if you can answer this one you win fifty keys."

"Fifty keys, wow!"

"And here's your first question, Bob: What is your name? You have
sixty seconds."

"Uhhh....I knew it when I came in here."

"Ten seconds, Bob."

"Uhhh....Bob! Bob!!!"

"Bob, yes Bob, and you win fifty keys!!!!"

"Wow!.."

"And now to the final. In front of you there are three doors, door
number one, door number two and door number three. Now you have to
guess behind which door the fifty pounds of libanese blond hasch is.
Which door do you choose?"

"Uhhh......
Uhhh...... - onetwo - nono
Twoone - noooo

Three...yes three"

"Three! You chose door number three and let's see who's behind this
door - it's officer O'Malley - YOU ARE BUSTED!!!"

"And ladies and gentlemen, join us next week for the next episode of
your favourite daytime funshow - Let's make a dope deal!"
Be well,

The Fox

I have some very cloudy memories from my younger
years of listening to an album with this bit on it...
was it George Carlin or Cheech and Chong? I'm not
sure, but it defintely rings a bell. Or perhaps
too many brain cells were destroyed, and I'm way
off base. Do enlighten us as to its source, as well
as to its relationship to Kate.

Cheech and Chong is right of course and the relation to Kate is
obvious - I bet she wouldn't mind winning fifty pounds of libanese
blond hash!? Strange though, in my rebellious youth libanese was black
and hash from Marocko was blond. The times they are a-changing.

The Fox

Thanks for helping me to relive a bit of the
past. Perhaps Kate could benefit
from such a prize... it might get her creative juices
flowing a little bit faster!

Laure

P.S. Hasn't someone determined that it was forbidden
to mention Kate and pot in the same breath? I
think I remember such an exchange. Or is the
distinction between pot and hash enough to let
us get away with it?

Ummmm, Child's garden of grass? I was having junior high flashbacks -
I'm not sure whether to thank you Mr. Fox or not -

I am probably wrong with my answer, but a "Cheech & Chong" routine keeps coming
to mind....

The Fox recently asked the following:>

(snip the script)

Actually, i think Cheech and Chong, or whoever wrote it, are making a very harsh parodi of partly the stupidical use of drugs, and partly enhancing the utter stupidity of talkshows and such. I quite agree with this.
