Art Festival

of the visual and performing arts, on Saturday, September 3 from 11 AM
to 9:00PM and Sunday, September 4 from noon to 5:00 PM at the Mildred
Anderson Dance Pavilion on the riverfront in Sioux City, Iowa.
Over 75 artists from across the country will demonstrate, display and
sell a variety of quality juried artwork. The festival, which is free
to the public, will include continuous main stage family entertainment,
strolling performers and a Saturday evening concert. A special
Children's Area has been planned that will enable everyone to create
hands-on art projects to take home, listen to a real Mother Goose, learn
the how-tos of Object Theater from professionals, and take a spin in a
Holie Roller. A variety of funky festival foods will also be available.
Since we anticipate thousands of Siouxlanders to attend, many volunteers
are needed. Volunteering at this event is a wonderful way to assist
your community in promoting the arts, make new friends, and enjoy a day
on the riverfront. Remember, all volunteers who work a four-hour shift
will receive a free ARTSPLASH t-shirt. Your participation would be
