breadth of England,
Scotland and Wales and from Sydney to Vancouver, from Cape Town to
Stockholm.

Opening the concert will be new local outfit The Macaroon Band. The
line-up is two fiddles and piano, with occasional percussion, accordion
and Galician bagpipes. The music is predominantly Scottish,
Appalachian and Cumbrian, with a distinct Shetland feel due in part to
the solid rhythmic piano played in the style of the great Violet
Tulloch, and a mixture of flying fiddle tunes - traditional, quirky,
and full of life.
