obviously if you take 27 and add a 5 day show, it
will run 27 28 29 30 31 January only. No February. Apologies. my
brain wasn't functioning!

Is the album out in Europe already? Do you know if it will be released
here?

Thanks -- Larry

Yes, the album has been out overseas - at least Ireland & UK - since
September. It is supposed to be available as an import via US
distributors since 15 October. I got my copy from Dolphin Wholesale,
Frances' tour did have a limited number of copies available for sale at
the concert - tho they ran out at our (second) stop, but expected more.

Not that I'm associated in any way with the place, but I notice in the
Rego Irish Record & Tapes catalog that they have A Woman's Heart 2 listed
at $16.95 for CD and $10.95 for cassette. Someone who ordered from them
said shipping was $4 on the CD. But, I imagine this means that other
mail order sources should have it in stock now as well. Although the
Chicago Irish import store I visit still had not received their order as
of last week.

It is a wonderful album, although differently than the first AWH. There
are again a combination of album tracks and non-album tracks, plus a
marvelous live cut of Mary Black singing "Don't Explain", a Billie
Holiday cover tune. (The "different than the first" is that the songs
seem to cover wider aspects of Irish contemporary music, getting into
areas other than the traditional - in fact, in a way that I think would
be very US radio-friendly. Like exploring the bluegrass/country influence,
as well as the jazzy cabaret material).

more than you wanted to know ....

I must have missed the original post on this one. Does anyone know if the
tour will be in New York or Philadelphia. I'd hate to miss it.

Thanks.

Sue -

The dates I posted are for a January appearance in Dublin by 5 of the Women,
that Frances Black mentioned on Saturday.

thus far they don't seem to have any US dates planned.

But, Frances Black is playing the Bottom Line on November 10th (with
Tom Paxton opening), in support of her solo album.

Larry,
I don't know if A Woman's Heart 2 has been released here but you
can get a copy. The same with Francis Black's Talk to Me CD. I think
I read on this list Francis's CD was to be released here in the States
spring of'95 or something. I have both of them already. If you need a
source I can send you the number. The place I get them from ships
anywhere.

Hi Carolyn!

Just thought I'd say "hello" out here on the Net. You *will* keep us
posted if WH2 (or any of the participants) ever *does* tour the US, and
San Diego in particular!?

Talk to you everywhere soon. Say hi to Chi.
Abby :)

Hi!! Welcome to "the Net"!!

And yes, I'll certainly keep everyone here (and elsewhere :-) informed of
any dates I hear. (obviously Pasadena was a bit much of a trip from
San Diego, for you to hear Frances Black this past weekend )

Yeah, Pasadena is a ways off... seems like a bunch of good folks are
playing there though -- bluegrass, folk, everything. Sigh!! San D. gets
passed over a lot for performers...I guess they figure we *will* drive 120
miles to hear music.... just call us Baja Los Angeles! :)

Talk to ya soon.
Abby
