SOUNDING BOARD SCHEDULE

Folk music concerts held at First Church of Christ, Congregational, 12 South
Main Street (corner of South Main and Farmington Avenue), West Hartford,
Connecticut. Enter through lower rear church door. Concerts start at 8:00 P.M.
Doors open at 7:00 P.M. Reservations are advised and are held until 7:45 P.M.

Nov. 30 SANDY & CAROLINE PATON AND BOB ZENTZ

Tonight we celebrate the start of our 23rd season with former state
troubadours, the Patons, and, all the way from Virginia, Bob Zentz. They will
be singing and playing songs of our history, of the early settlers, the later
immigrants, songs of loggers, sailors, miners, cowboys, of migrant workers and
much more. Playing six and twelve string guitar, hammered dulcimer,
Appalachian dulcimer and autoharp. $8, 7 members.

Dec. 7 JOHN McCUTCHEON

Advance tickets are available for John McCutcheon's annual concert at the
Sounding Board on December 7th. Tickets are $15.00 or $14.00 for Sounding
Board members. Send a check made out to The Sounding Board, and a stamped
self-addressed envelope, to Len Domler, 14 Southwood Road, Cromwell, CT 06416.
Only 280 tickets will be sold. John's concerts have sold out for the past
several years.

January 4 JUSTINA & JOYCE

Justina and Joyce have won accolades for their gorgeous voices, breathtaking
harmonies, and poetic songs written from the heart. With acoustic guitars,
dulcimer, and their voices, they blend contemporary folk blues, ballads, and
chants that cut through to the heart of human experiences, serious and sultry,
silly and sublime. $8, 7 members.

January 11 DAVE CROSSLAND

Dave began touring in 1992. His first CD, "Here's To The Ride", was rated
among the top ten acoustic albums by "Music Americana" in Washington, D.C.,
and selected in National Public Radio's "The Best of River City Folk" that
same year. He has shared the stage with Ritchie Havens, Nanci Griffith and
Christine Lavin. $8, 7 members.

January 18 JUDY POLAN

Judy, known to her friends as "New England's Folk-Glitter Queen", and also is
known for her warm stage presence and zany sense of humor. Her hilarious
renditions of songs from the Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan are favorites of her
audiences. She also does pop, folk and cabaret music. $8, 7 members.

January 25 KLEZAMIR

Klezamir, featuring Rhoda Bernard's singing, Jim Armenti on guitar and vocals,
Amy Rose on piano, flute and vocals, Joe Blumenthal on bass and vocals, and
Neil Zagorin on drums, delivers exuberant entertainment from passionate
Klezmer music and jazzy showtunes of the Yiddish theater to Hebrew love songs
and lively Israeli folk dances. $8,7 members.

February 1 SOUTHERN RAIL

Four member band playing guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass, they are one of
the hottest bluegrass groups on the circuit today. Southern Rail has a sound
distinctly their own, with a diverse repertoire running from contemporary
trios to a cappella quartets, to high energy instrumentals. $10, 9 members.
