Does anybody happen to know the Canadian version of this famous
Woody Guthrie song? I know I've heard a Canadian version a number of
times, but I can't say exactly where.
I believe it starts out
This land is your land, this land is my land
From Bonavista to Vancouver Island

Thanks in advance
martin

This land was made for me and you.

Far as I know, there are no specifically Canadian verses; you just
sing Woody's. That said, this song has had the folk process success-
fully applied to it over and over, so there may well be some Canadian
verses by now.

I fist heard this chorus about 30 years ago. I asked r.f.m a few
months ago, and reiterate: does anybody know who wrote it?

A friend just told me that it was written by The Travellers.
They were on CBC recently and talked about writing a version for Canada.

Schooner Faire have sung a version or two with Canadian place
names.

Hmmm.. Try singing the above to the tune ^_^

I guess you'd have to add "This world was made for you and me" to
the bottom...
