HAH! Someone else who has a copy of that little gem!

It's probably one of the most subtle pieces of parody work I have ever heard,
and yet at the same time, one of the crudest.

A definite work of genius.

Nowadays, the PC police would probably have you arrested for owning a copy
of it. He took pot-shots at everybody: Spiro Agnew, Women's Liberation,
the Catholic Church, Blacks. He was an equal opportunity offender.

Anybody know what "dilectum spiritutuo" is? Or was it "Dial ectum spiri 220"?

In the pre-Vatican II Latin Mass, there were multiple occasions where the
priest would say "Dominus vobiscum" and the congregation would respond
"Et cum spiritu tuo." These translate to "The Lord be with you" and "And
with your spirit." The old joke always was "What's the pope's phone
number? Et Cum Spiri 2-2-O!".
This dialogue between priest and congregation remains in the new version
of the Mass in English, although "And with your spirit" has been replaced
by "And also with you." Why? I don't know. (I was about 10 years old when
the Mass changed from Latin to English. For some reason, the only part of
the Latin Mass I remember is "Dominus vobiscum. Et cum spiritu tuo." )

Another Pat Sky Fan!! I know Pat and his wife Kathy. They used to live
up here in RI (Perryville). I did a little playing (Irish Toons) with
both of them at a few sessions.

While recording "The Cat That Ate The Candle" and "Through A Window", I
had the opportunity to be in the "studio" during some of the takes. A
good friend of mine played bass, bousouki, citern, mandolin on the last
two albums. I have all his recordings and some with his autograph. He's
not "missing" he's alive and well (last I knw) in North Carolina or
somewhere down south.

Pat's acosutic guitar work inspires me to this day, along with Rev. Gary
Davis, Mississippi John Hurt, and Jorma Kaukonen.

I may even have a few radio interviews on tape. Let me know if you'd be
interested in a copy! blu...@ids.net (Paul Toracinta)

Gibberished Latin, "et cum Spiritu tuo" "and with Thy Spirit.'

I really wish some brave soul would re-issue the album.
