RATIONALE: rec.music.artists.emmylou-harris
There currently exists no specific newsgroup for the discussion of the
wide range of work by this singer resulting in separate postings
across numerous news groups. This new group would allow these postings
to be brought together in one newsgroup. The growing mailing list,
Emmylou On Line now has 334 subscribers and has weekly postings of
around 2-3000 words. Given the size and scope of this list and the
traffic in other groups, we feel that a separate group is justified by
the interest shown.

This newsgroup is designed to provide a world wide forum to include
answers to questions concerning or the discussion of:
1. The recorded music of Emmylou Harris and future projects.
2. Reviews of concerts/TV appearances/albums/videos/etc. by
Emmylou Harris.
3. Live Appearances and scheduled Performances, past, present and
future by Emmylou Harris.
4. Information regarding Emmylou Harris' touring schedules and discography.
5. Emmylou Harris' Musical History and her place in Country Music.
6. Collaborative work by Emmylou Harris with other Artists.
7. Threads involving work by other musicians who have been closely
associated with Emmylou Harris.
The posting of Binary files of either pictures or sound is prohibited.
However, posts including pointers to groups, or URLs for sites, with
binary files are welcome.
