Apologies if this is not the right newsgroup to ask this
question, but I was looking for the lyrics of 'mountains
o'mourne' and found it in a webpage. However I'm curious
that in the version of the song I heard (by Don McLean),
there was more lines than the one written by Percy French.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me wrote those extra
verses? It begins "You remember young Danny Mclaren of
course..."

Original to the song, to the best of my knowledge.

I relied on the lyrics found on the web:
http://www.acronet.net/~robokopp/eire/ohmaryth.htm
http://home.att.net/~kingstontrioplace/lyricskn.htm
also at another site which I can't seem to find again.

Compared these to the lyrics by Don McLean
http://www.renegadeolga.com/main/m/mclean_don/mountians_o_mourne.crd

there are an extra verse in Don McLean's version. It could
be the other sites simply did not give the full version.
