I am looking for info on a song called "Right Field:". Seven years ago
at a Peter Paul and Mary reunion concert, Paul sang this song,
but I don't think he recorded it. About a year ago,
I heard part of the chorus as a spot on a Ninja Turtles video.
Anyway, part of the words are as follows:
"Saturday summers when I was a kid,
We'd go to the school yard and here's what we did;
Pick out the captains, choose up the teams;
Always a measure of my self esteem.
...
Right Field-- it's easy you know.
You can be awkward; you can be slow;
That's why I'm out here in right field you know,
Watching the dandilions grow."

Who wrote this song? Has anyone recorded it? Where can I get a copy?
It's one of the most creative songs I've heard, so any leads are greatly
appreciated.
Please send me email; I can't generally read this newsgroup.

Song written by Willy Welch. PP&M have a version on an anthology
CD called "Baseball's Greatest Hits, Vol 2". Yes, a collection
of songs about baseball. I think its on Rhino.
