It's incredible what you have to go through trying to organize events!
I just had a call from the owners of the Women's Center in Santa Cruz and
they have 'pulled the plug' on all my Saturday dance dates there because
someone came along and offered them more money for the same dates!! So, I
have now changed ALL my Santa Cruz based French & Breton dance events to
the nearest Friday.

I've just got some really good news! There is an organization here in the US
called 'Revels Inc.' http://www.revels.org/
They have been putting on really good quality shows based around the winter
solstice for many years now all over the country. These are costumed shows
with lots of music, dance and storytelling. I got a call from the
producers and they are putting on a 'Breton Revels' this winter in Oakland,
California at the very beautiful Scottish Rite Temple. They have asked me
to teach the chorus the dances of Brittany and perform in the show on my
Breton bagpipes.
They showed me a video of the Breton show that they produced last year in
Cambridge, Boston and it was spectacular with lots of Breton dancing,
singing and great costumes. Stay tuned for more details ...

There will now be a Breton dance workshop at the 'Lark in the morning' mini
festival to celebrate the opening of their new store in San Francisco.
The venue is the Cannery in San Francisco on Saturday 17th May and Sunday
18th May.
At 8:30 pm on the 17th, there will be a 'Bal Musette Grand French Ball'
with Traditional French Music and Dance (Hurdy Gurdies, Violins,
Accordions, Bagpipes and More) with Tour De France
On Sunday 18th there will be workshops in dance from Brittany and France.
