> Is there a future, or will it all be country?
I think there is a bright future for this genre of music. I have
been a fan of Ireland my whole life and the tradtional setting it seems
to capture in its music. I actually believe that Irish folk music was
making a comeback where I used to live. Now I am not so sure here.
Perhaps someone can help me. On TNN they did a special on Irish
folk music about a month ago. I can't remeber the artist's name, but she
had short brown hair and was rather tall. That may not help, but she
seemed famous since they focused on her. She was amazingly good. E-mail
me if you know who this mystery artist is.
Keep in mind that folk music is strong in Irish culture. W.B. Yeats
seemed to capture it well in his poetry. I am actually singing some of
his poems set to music by Britten.
