As noted elsewhere on this newsgroup, Joan Baez's sister Mimi Farina
is battling advanced lung cancer. In 1974 she founded a charitable
organization to bring music and entertainment to people who would not
normally be able to attend such shows (elderly, prisoners, invalids,
etc.). If you would like to learn more about Mimi's foundation and
possibly donate (which I think might mean more to her than letters of
condolence, etc), please visit her website:

The Bread and Roses web site now has a very nice tribute to Mimi at the
opening page. She was a fine, very human person.
