Following is a retyped (any typo's are mine) listing of folk
festivals, mainly for the Midwestern United States, from AURAL
TRADITION, address above. The list is copyrighted, but they
invite its dissemination. They request only that you credit
them when distributing or using it. Aural Tradition is a
Chicago based non-profit organization promoting folk music,
story telling and folk culture. Membership information can be
gotten by writing; membership is currently $7.00 for membership
plus $3.50 for first-class (US) monthly mailing of events in
and around the Chicago area. It may be going up a little soon,
so check with them first before sending a check.

Notices of events, your favorite folk performer(s) who will be
appearing in the Chicago area should be sent marked to L.
Lubin, 5461 S. Ellis, Chicago, IL 60615, and should arrive at
least six weeks before the event.

Performers interested in being sponsored by Aural Tradition

Don't forget the outstanding FLORIDA FOLK FESTIVAL May 24th through
May 26th at the Stephen Foster Memorial on the Suwanee River at White
Springs Florida. I don't have a schedule in front of me but the festival
features a variety of mostly Florida performers from many different folk
traditions.
