JANUARY (FEBRUARY) 1995 SCHEDULE, FREIGHT & SALVAGE, BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA

NOTE: This schedule is being posted on both rec.music.folk and
rec.music.country.western. Although most performers at the Freight & Salvage
fall into the category of folk, a few have been categorized as country or
rock (e.g., Billy Joe Shaver, Don Edwards).

The Freight & Salvage Coffee House (Berkeley Society for the Preservation of
Traditional Music) is located at 1111 Addison St., Berkeley, California
94702 (510/548-1761 program, 548-7603 business office).

LOCATION: To get there take the freeway (I-80) to Berkeley's University Ave.
exit. After several blocks turn right (south) on San Pablo Ave. The next
street (parallel to University Ave., perpendicular to San Pablo) is Addison.
The Freight is located east just up the street. Street parking is readily
available in the area.

THE SETTING: Wheelchair access; no smoking; intimate ambiance (238 capacity,
small circular tables that are candle lit, large stage just before the
first-row seats); sporadic, movable chairs (some much more comfortable than
others!); superb acoustics (both for acoustic and electrical instruments);
non-alcoholic refreshments sold in the back of the room (actually the front
of the building).

ADVANCE TICKET SALES: During all shows plus 3:00-5:00 PM Tues.-Fri. and
1:00-3:00 Sat. For mail order send check and SASE at least 10 days before
show date. Also BASS ticket outlets.
