hi, don't laugh but i need the lyrics to little boxes. i was singing it in my
office when much to my embarrassement someone walked in. now its bad enough to
be caught singing off key, but to make matters worse they insisted i had the
lyrics all wrong.
while i'm on the subject a few years ago i heard a song sung to the same tune
about moving. does anyone know who did this song? thanks for the help.

Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes mase of ticky-tacky
Little boxes on the hillside, little Boxes all the same
There a green one and a pink one and a blue on and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same
And the people in the houses all went to the university
Where they all were put in boxes and they all came out the same
And there's doctors and there's lawyers, and business executives
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same
And they all play on the golf course and drink their martinis dry
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same

Hi Lisa,
Don't know the moving song, but here are the words to Little Boxes
(Words and music by Malvina Reynolds, copyright 1962 by Schroder Music
Co but I'm sure they won't mind!)
Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky, and they all look just the
same.
And the people in the houses all went to the university,
Where they were put in boxes and they came out all the same,
And there's doctors and there's lawyers and business executives,
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky, and they all look just the
same.
And they all play on the golf course and drink their martinis dry,
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school,
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university,
Where they are put in boxes and they come out all the same.
Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes all the same.
And the boys go into business and marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same.
Hope that's what you were expecting!
I'm sure there must be a Pete Seeger CD somewhere with the song on it.

My four year old daughter has been singing this song over and over again. She first heard it at the memorial service for Jessica Dub=
roff, the young pilot who died in the plane crash in Wyoming (Montana?). Ed Johnson and Carol McComb sang it, as well as God Bless t=
he Grass another of Malvina Reynold's songs. While we were walking to her gravesite we overheard the owner of the plane telling of =
Jessica's flying instructor flying her to Daly City (near San Francisco) to see the Little Boxes on the Hillside. It seemed quite ap=
propriate for the occasion.
