"Who Will Sing For Me?" is attributed to Carter Stanley and John
McCutcheon (?) in the Digital Tradition database, but the notes to Ralph
Stanley 1971-73 attribute it to John Thomas Ely. Ralph recorded it in
1973 and I suspect that there was an earlier Stanley Brothers recording,
but I haven't found it.

I'd like to know more about this song. Who wrote words and music? When
was it written? When and where was it first published? When and by whom
was it first recorded?
