What You Need

How to Install OPL
There are different ways to install OPL on your PS2, depending on the source you want to use. Here are the steps for each method:
USB Method
This is the easiest and most common method to install OPL. You just need to copy the OPL ELF file to your USB drive and run it from Free McBoot.

Extract the ZIP file and copy the OPL_.ELF file to the root of your USB drive.
Plug your USB drive into your PS2 and turn it on.
From the Free McBoot menu, select uLaunchELF.
Browse to mass:/ (your USB drive) and select OPL_.ELF.
OPL will launch and scan your USB drive for games.
HDD Method
This method is only for fat PS2 models with an internal HDD. You need to format your HDD with HDLoader or WinHIIP and copy the OPL ELF file to it.

Extract the ZIP file and copy the OPL_.ELF file to your PC.
Connect your HDD to your PC using a USB adapter or a SATA dock.
Open HDLoader or WinHIIP and format your HDD with 48-bit mode.
Copy the OPL_.ELF file to your HDD using HDLoader or WinHIIP.
Disconnect your HDD from your PC and install it into your PS2.
Turn on your PS2 and select HDLoader from the Free McBoot menu.
Select OPL_.ELF from the list of games on your HDD.
OPL will launch and scan your HDD for games.
SMB Method
This method allows you to load games from a shared folder on your PC over a network. You need to set up a network connection between your PS2 and your PC and configure OPL with your PC's IP address and share name.

Create a folder on your PC where you want to store your PS2 games. For example, C:\PS2Games.
