I'm about to go to Finland to spend a few weeks working in Helsinki.
While I'm there I'd like to see and hear what I can of traditional
Finnish music and dance. Is there anything in Helsinki along the
lines of a British folk club, where I might find some traditional
song and music? Anywhere I might get to see some "ritual dance"
things (equivalents of English Morris Dance, Mumming, etc)? Anywhere
for traditional social dance?

The same goes for Lapp culture - is there anything to see around Helsinki,
or would I have to get up to the far North?

I'm working in Helsinki, but would be happy to head out of town for the
weekends if there's something interesting to see.

Email responses preferred; I'll post a summary if anyone is interested.
Thanks for any information you can offer.
