I've just finished a beautiful book by Mickey Hart, who was the
percussionist for the Grateful Dead. With the help of K.M. Kostyal, he has
just released, "Songcatchers: In Search of the World's Music".

It's published by National Geographic. As you might expect, it beautifully
illustrated, thoroughly researched, and yet, it's also very concise.

I just wanted to take a moment to recommend it to everyone. It's been quite
a while since I've enjoyed a book as much as this one.

Here's the details on it, if anyone wants to track it down...

Mickey Hart with K.M. Kostyal, 'Songcatchers: In Search of the World's
Music, National Geographic Society, Washington, D.C., 2003, ISBN
0-7922-4107-X

Hope you like it!

And if you get HBO, make sure to watch the movie "Songcatcher."
