Tuesday, April 18th is my 40th birthday and I'm planning a reunion
of the old Gallagher's Pub open mike crowd at the pub, which is now
Nanny O'Briens in Washington, D.C.

Gallagher's Pub open mike ran every Sunday and Monday for more than
20 years, and the open mike ended in 1995, two years after the
pub was sold. I was hosting the mike at the time it was sold and
managed to keep the mike going for a little while before the
new owners decided to commit to an entirely Irish music program
and drop what was D.C.'s longest running and most respected open
mike. Former hosts include some of D.C.'s finest performers and
songwriters including Mary Chapin Carpenter.

The reunion won't be run as an open mike, but I've scheduled some of
my faves for a show to run from 8 to 10 p.m. Everyone's invited to
bring guitars for some back room jamming.

The pub is at 3319 Connecticut Ave., N.W. Phone (202) 686-9189
for directions. It's just a quick step down the street from
the Cleveland Park Metro.

Any and all old Gallagher's regulars and D.C. folk fans are invited.

Here's the lineup:

8:00 Annette Gallant
Christopher Russell & Dave Stinson
Pat Knudsen
Rick Franklin & Neil Harpe
9:00 Drew Holland & Melinda Root
George Hardman
Sara Landymore (me) w/John Previti
Bill Baker w/John Previti
10:00 Steve Erwin w/John Previti
Suzanne Hagan
Burch Rivers
11:00 Reuben Musgrave
Brian Gaffney
Matt Holsen
Denny Buck

Thanks a bunch. Hope to see ya.
