An update of French and Breton events before the New Year.
+++
Not really an event, but there will certainly be alot of French and Breton
music played.
I will be presenting 'The Global Village' on the radio station KUSP on
88.9FM in Santa Cruz, Salinas and Monterey, 90.3FM in Los Gatos, 91.7 in
Big Sur.
Tuesday 10th December and Tuesday 24th December between 1:00pm and 4:00pm
I *may* be presenting a regular 'Global Village' show on alternate
Wednesdays starting on the 18th December between 1:00pm and 4:00pm
- stay tuned.

French and Breton country dances:
It will happen in Building C, Room 260 at The Fort Mason Center in the
marina in San Francisco on:
Saturday 28th December
There will be an hour of tuition between 7:00pm and 8:00pm, and then we
will dance between 8:00pm and 10:00pm. I have booked the space and time
for the fourth Saturday of each month into mid '97.
A dance in Santa Cruz will happen on:
Saturday December 21st
At the Viking Hall, 240 Plymouth Street, Santa Cruz (corner of Button). This
hall is also sometimes known as The Scandanavian Cultural Center.
Events will be from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.
Both these sessions are open to musicians (come, play, learn new tunes), so
I *hope* that musicians with an interest in French/Breton dance music will
come and help me out with this. If you are a dancer and you intend to come
along to either SF or SC, PLEASE let me know. If I can get a core of people
interested in the dance, I would like to be able to bring 'real' French and
Breton bands here when they are on tour!
I will be on a dance teaching tour of Australia during March and April, but
I'm sure that we can keep things going while I'm away.
Please put these dates in your planner and let your friends know about
them. Thanks.
