Indiana-based Folk-singer and songwriter Bill Wilson died Thanksgiving
Day of a heart attack in Nashville, Indiana at 46.

He was a Viet Nam war veteran, and had been a folk singer for more than
20 years. He received national recognition from his 1980 song
"Stardust Train" from his second album Talking To Stars.

His albums included: Ever-changing Minstrel, Talking To Stars, Made In
The USA, and this year's Traction in the Rain.

He will be sorely missed here. I just saw him at the Slippery Noodle Inn
this summer. Seems like yesterday.

And don't forget that he co-wrote "Sultans of Swing" with Mark Knopfler.

I was always impressed the way he did "Black Dog" live, but he didn't do
it except as a request since he mostly stuck to his own material.

Now if we could just get "Indiana Song" made the Indiana State Song...
