Welcome to the December Filk, also known as the "Yuletide Extravaganza."
Date: Saturday, 12 December 2009 at 6 pm.
Place: 10873 Panhandle Rd, Hampton, GA
On the house: Back, upon request: Turduchen with Cajun/Creole side dishes.
If you'd like to do so, please bring side dishes (one can never have too
much of a good thing) or desserts (ditto!).
We believe in the old adage, "The more, the merrier," so we hope you'll join
us!

With any luck at all I'll be here till around Valentine's day,, Just
found out it's $320 a month for parking (Which I feel is a bit steep)
but it would cost me over 200 to move out for a week out of every 3, so,
here we will likely stay.. Plus I found a nice church choir (Yes, I am a
real choir boy.. not the kind in the movie of that name) with a very
nice director who hales from Ann Arbor and went to the same college my
daughter attended !! (So I know she's good, even before I listened to
her Sunday)
Where is GAFILK held? IF you want to know where I am.. Think South
Carolina,, I-85, Mile Marker 3 and from where I'm parked If I were to
hit a home run in the proper direction... You'd have to duck.

Gafilk is held in Atlanta, just a couple of hours down I-85. You can find

Ah, we passed Atlanta on the way here..
I'm not sure if I will go to GAFILK or not,,, I would love to but the
"Discresionary budget" right now is ... negative... I mean just the gas
would be a major investment at the moment. I get paid and then pay my
bills and if I have enough left for a coup of coffee.. I"m doing good.
Am working on that however

GaFilk is off I-85 at exit 74, Virginia Avenue.

However I did mention it to a fiddler last night. Perhaps she will show..
Now, in other news.. One of the B N Fs who will be there I would very
much like to hear perform again, and again, and again, and again..> Well
you get the idea.. And that is just ONE of the names on the roster....
Never mind the others (Many of them I'd like to hear too)
So I'd very much like to be there... but there is just no way.
