Well I was confused on several levels, so I went.
I though that it was in the valley, thought that I would have a Doc
Rat Forum meet up, thought that it was not so far away.
So I made arrangements for my friends from the west to meet me there.
And Pat would drive me from Chino.
It was a long way around the mountains. And I helped by navigating.
My forum friends called us by cell phone, we told them to just knock
and go in.
We got there a few minutes after 6.
All addresses on the street seem to have even numbers. And the air was
very cold.
Well we met Karen of Windbourn. And the Bonhoffs, Jeff & Maya, the
Golds, and a wonderfully full house of filkers.
They were all wonderful. We sang until almost one.
The pot luck was very well done.
The hosts, Sandy and Gerry Tyra had a pot of stuff, and some very nice
coffee.
The bardic format helped, everybody got to sing.
I was looking to sing about 2 more songs when the filk ended at about
1am.
I enjoyed it, and Pat did too. We both agreed tha if we had known how
far it was we would not have gone, but that we then would have missed
something special.

Now for the future, just because I do not usually review and post on
filk events does not mean that I did not enjoy yours.

To Lancaster, not to Valencia.

I think Sean means the San Fernando Valley.

It was 48 F when we got there around 6:15 PM.
It was 38 F when we left.

The Tyras had beef soup.
We brought chicken curry, nuts, raisins, chutney.
There was wonderful guacamole and taco chips.
Also cookies and crackers and other nibbles.

The Bohnhoffs were wonderful.
Maya is still healing up from her surgery of seven weeks ago and walking
with a cane.

I met a new filker who writes songs and posts them on Live Journal and
got her to give me a couple of songs and her snailmail and email address
so I could print them in Xeno.

Pat Trimmer sang a couple of new songs, and I sat up and begged for them.

New Filker and husband were my Doc Rat forum meet up potentials.
Her online handle is X-Lidia.
