Now that is someplace being banned from is.. Well.. a good idea :)

Happy new year to all.

(by the way did you know Happy New Year and Halleluiah scan the same,
See if you can Handel that?)

I am busy this week setting up a new netbook.. Darling Daughter had a
refurb dell which developed a problem or two (Virual it appears) and she
could only get a black screen.. Her hubby worked on it for like an hour
and a half and managed to get one file off for her.. I offereed to take
a look but alas.. he's the computer expert in the house and well.. She
wound up giving it to me when he gave up.

Took me less than 30 mintues to get up and running.. (I won't tell you
how, exactly, but it's a good thing that I go back to the days of DOS,
cause... Well, it was a very simple DOS command that did the first fix..
and some new anti-virus software that finished the job) I just got
Thunderbird transferred a few minutes ago.

After reading Dan's "Failed religious filk"
how about something like:

We started up a ministry, sang praises to the lord.
Now Hades doesn't want us anymore.

Ah, memories. I was at a Denver con in maybe 1978. Penulticon, perhaps?
Some people started singing filks, and this guy I knew decided to
counter them by singing "FOUND A PEANUT" in a loud, high-pitched,
cracked voice. It was excruciating, and I herded him out right away.

He was a barrel of laffs in other ways, too.

They're OK with our toys
(Such as sweet altar-boys),
And don't mind all the lying and such.

But the hypocrites now,
And the holy'r-than-thou,
Well, that's just a little too much.
