I've also heard other versions where the second line of the bridge is
sung:

Kung hindi alipin ng mga dayuhan.

I've heard recordings of this song from back in the time of the First
Quarter Storm, when it was used to fire people up at anti-Marcos rallies.
Since then, some verses may have been watered down and some political
edge may have been lost but it's still one of the more progressive
songs out there still sung by the Philippine burgis.
