Oh, as references and as handbooks they were
superb. And still would be, if they were up to
date. In contrast I could never get much out of
Bukofser's Baroque, which paled in comparison.
(Can't remember the spelling, either!)
Margaret, I haven't really considered the
Crocker, and of course for my large class I
really need a well-matched set of CDs. I know
how much you value his approach, and I should
really take another look.
