I have been working on some of the pieces from the Las Huelgas Codex, trying
to look at the facsimiles and transcribe it for a concert that will take
place sometime in January. My big problem is with the translations from Latin
to English. My limited knowledge of Latin does not enable me to translate
these pieces well.
Are there any published translations of the codex?
The piece I have most trouble with is 'Mulier Misterio' (2 voices. Fol.90).
Does anyone know if it has been translated anywhere? Any help on this matter
would be greatly appreciated!
I wrote down the words at the end of this message, in case some kind soul
would like to help translating :-)
Thank you,
Noa Zechoval.

Hello, there, and I wonder if Gordon Anderson's transcriptions of Las
Huelgas might not include translations. There are two volumes, I'm pretty
sure published by the American Institute of Musicology.
