Hello,
I'm a french student, and I'm looking for someone, who could go to the
Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, to have a look on a 15th century book of music,
edited by G. Scotto in 1549.
I received today a part of a motet I had order, but there's no secunda pars,
and I think they just have forgotten it.

The book is
Il primo libro de motetti a sei voce
Edited in 1549
N° RISM 1549/3
Title of the motet : Veni sancte spiritus
Componist : Loyset Pieton

If there's some german in this group, it would be very nice to help me, I'm
finishing my study report.

Thanks to answer directly to me, (not disturb the rest of the group)
didier....@wanadoo.fr

Thank you.

Sorry to comment, but did you check the RISM doesn't describe the
contratenor (which IMO would be a better description, as 'secunda pars'
means literally the second part of a motet) or the quinta pars or the sexta
pars (whatever the *correct* description of your lacking part is) isn't
*really* lacking. Many prints of that era are simply incomplete.
It would be a pity for someone to travel to the library to discover the part
simply doesn't exist.

Regards,

Sybrand Bakker
