All the guitars are
in good playing condition and were all used either on stage or recording
with
REM, Joe Brown, Bob , Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale, and many others. The
guitars available are: Rickenbocker, Bronson(very rare and in prefect cond),
Gibson Charlie Christian, Gibson p-90 with binding, also a very cool frying
pan, long scale Supro, also very rare. I also have several very cool and
rare Magnatone steel guitar
amps. All in excellent cond. These are my personal favorite lap steels. The
others, I sold off when I ran out of places to store them. They are all
guaranteed to sound killer, and work great. I will also provide a letter of
authenticity stating what recordings and gigs were done with which guitars.
Some examples are: The Rickenbocker was used on "Cold Irons Bound" most
apparent on the intro, as it's the first instrument you hear. It is the
"psycodelic sound that runs thru the whole song. It was also used nightly in
the live show. The Gibson Charlie Christian was also used in the live show,
as well as on "Like a Rolling Stone" on MTV unplugged. The Gibson w/ binding
was used on Steve Earle's "Country Girl" on the Copperhead Road" album, as
well as every Bob gig for about 4 1/2 years. The Supro was used on stage
with
Bob a few times, but
it is more of a specialty guitar as I have it tuned very low, to be used
more
in the tonal range of a "Danelectro 6 bass" It can easily be restrung to
sound more like a conventional lap steel, but I think it sounds really cool
and unique the way I have it set up, now. The tone is very similar to the
guitar on Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools". These are all guitars that I
love, the way they sound, the way they look, and the way they play and stay
in tune. Hopefully whoever buys them will buy them as not only an
investment,
but will also play them too.
