I tried to make a post about Bryan Ferry's Dylanesque, after I heard his
Tom Thumbs Blues on the excellent HBO documentary, Witness:Juarez

For some reason, my new posts don't appear, at least to me. My responses
to other posts do appear.

Can anyone suggest different software than Thunderbird for accessing
newsgroups?

Agreed. Costs $29 but you can get a 30 day free trial to check it out
first:

Thanks for the tip. I'm trying it now

It's weird how we become accustomed to the programs we use, and never
try anything new.

I'm finding the print too small. Any idea how to make this easier to
read?

Ha. I spoke too soon. I got my program working again, but I have to test
it to see if this is going to post.

I just sent a post that felt like it went too quickly and thus wouldn't
work. Let's see how this one feels.

When is Bob going to write a song about his Facebook experiences?

Is masturbating an experience?

I used to teach this lesson to high school kids about changing attitudes
to sex. I told them how in the old days, women teachers weren't allowed
to teach if they got married, because people couldn't handle the idea of
a sexual woman teaching kids. Later, people could handle that, but not
the idea of unmarried couples having sex. Now we're at the point where
some people can handle the idea of two men having sex, but some can't.

I then said there was something much worse than this that almost no one
could handle. I almost didn't want to tell them what it was:

A man having sex with himself

That got a lot of nervous snickering

My high school teachers weren't very vocal about sex. Well, ONE was,
but she wasn't around very long.
