Because Romney bullied the chicken and threatened to cut off his hair and
his head.

Worse than what Romney did to that student is the fact that Romney laughed about it when confronted, as it was just a minor, harmless prank... many people obviously do things when they're young that are nasty and cruel, but one hopes that most people would feel a twinge of guilt about it, unlike Romney...

Thank God that almost 40 years ago I married a girl who agrees with me
politically about 99% of the time. Both of us can't imagine how any
thinking, feeling, sentient being can be gung ho for Romney.

Well Marcus, the fact that *some* people have no problem voting for Romney doesn't suprise or upset me... the fact that possibly more than half the country WILL vote for Romney, not that is *extremly* frightening and horrifying and dismaying...

But that's exactly what his appeal is to lots of Americans. A huge chunk of
the population sees the ideal American as a WHITE testosterone driven, cold
eyed CEO that throws a punch first, thinks later if at all, likes firing
peons and never feels guilt or apologizes. They want a leader who blusters
praises for God, country and self made rugged individualism. Football is
the national sport, John Wayne the patron saint, the NRA the national creed
and to hell with anyone who might suggest we're not number one in the world
at anything.
They want it so bad they refuse to see that Romney's a total phony.

Rocket fast changing times, and demographics are screaming out for a
different kind of ideal, but that only scares a lot of people even more and
spreads a panic to go back to the supposedly simple clear cut past when men
were men and smiling women in heels stayed home like Ann Romney.

Then he deducted the chicken off his taxes.

Dead-on. I'd like to hear this in an Obama ad.

Even if Obama were a bumbler, I wouldn't call him a lesser evil. He's a
good guy, caught up in an ugly process. Romney is not good. Who knows
how much Romney understands about himself or what he believes in. But
Romeny's basic values and policies are all about greed and self-interest.
Well said. Romney believes in government of the people by the rich for
the rich. Romney also believes that corporate greed is good. Finally, Romney
has spent his entire life bullying people; it's a strategy that works for
him.

Funny you should say that.

Running with Scissors copyright © 2012 Nathan A. Smith

a long time ago, when i was but a boy
i knew of a fellow in preppy school
he was affable & laughable, to the point of being coy
we could all make believe that he was cool

chorus:
oh, his father's name was George
state Governor during the Vietnam war
while the heathens drank in fields & called 'em "whizzers"
but this Boy George kid in the halls
really drove him up the walls
and by the next day he was running with scissors

he brought his gang of bullies to hold the poor boy down
while he savagely cut off the offending hair
he can't recall it now, staring back with a plastic frown
hoping to deny he was ever there

chorus with on that day when he was running with scissors

well, the years have passed us by and, like father, like son
he, too, became a Governor of a state
with an olympic leap of lies to the bane of everyone
seems like running for some office was his fate

oh, his father's name was George
brainwashed by the Vietnam war
while us heathens drank in farm fields at the whizzers
but that Boy George kid in the halls
really drove him up the walls
back on that day when he ran with scissors

so now he's back again, he's still running some more
he wants to be cuttin' our government to the bone
cuttin' pesky regulations while his money waits offshore
cuttin' your retirement so you're on your own

oh, his father's name was George
brainwashed by the Vietnam war
while us heathens drank in farm fields at the whizzers
for him it was long ago
but - wouldn't you like to know? -
to this day he's still running with scissors
