I read somewhere one time that SAVED had been included high in the list of the
worst album covers of all time. I guess there will have been various of such
lists, many of which may have excluded SAVED - because it was too terrible or
too good. (Evangelical Christians seemed pretty happy with the cover and its
contents. Whether this is a commendation for timeless painting or the ability
to appreciate it, I wouldnt like to guess.)

I wonder if this inclusion or exclusion was based on artistic grounds or some
other kind. I cant imagine what.

Perhaps such Phillistines - if i may call them that - prefer the cover of
INFIDELS but isnt that saying something about art not to mention its
appreciation? Coming as it did in such sharp contrast to the three that
preceded it.

Or maybe they prefer the timeless painting of TIME OUT OF MIND. Hmm. I
wonder why.

Yes ... Michelangelo indeed could have carved out the features of such
jokermen. Now just a minute - didnt ...

Inside the museums jokermen come and blow

BTW: the phrase/concept of Timeless Painting comes from the Blood on the
Tracks/Raeben period. B_B learned the idea from Raeben; which of them coined
the phrase i dunno but B_B discusses it in Biograph.

PS some of my present/imminent posts bear some reln to recently instigated
threads, but i actually wrote mine some weeks ago, which means those persons
are "copying" posts of mine they have never seen.
