Dylan's secret love
life revealed
BOB Dylan secretly
had at least two
wives and several
children with them
and other women,
according to one
of his mystery
girlfriends who's
writing a book
about his complicated
romantic life.
Our spies say the
dino-rocker's
longtime honey,
Susan Ross, is
quietly penning a
book that promises
to "set the record
straight about a
lot of
misinformation" put out by
Dylan's well-oiled
publicity machine.
Among her claims:
Dylan has been
married not once,
but three times.
What's more, he has
"eight or nine"
children - nearly
twice the number
listed in his most
current bio.
Publicly, the
scratchy-voiced singer
owns up to a single
trip to the altar,
in 1965 with former
model Sara
Lowndes. They
divorced in 1977, with
Lowndes getting
custody of their five
kids, including
Wallflowers frontman
Jakob, now 26 and
regularly
referred to as
Dylan's youngest.
But, "Jakob is far
from the youngest,"
laughs one music
industry insider.
"Bob's got kids all
over the planet.
His youngest is
about 12. It's a real
multicultural
menagerie."
Ross, a
Juilliard-trained musician,
declined to discuss
the book or
details of her
romance with Dylan,
whom she met in
1985 at a Columbia
Records party.
But her friends say
Dylan, who for
decades has closely
guarded his
knotty personal
life, is purportedly
reading the
manuscript. "It's not a
"kiss and tell'
book," a source told
PAGE SIX. "But it
doesn't shy away
from the truth."
The leggy blond
Ross has endured
years of rumors
about Dylan and his
far-flung dalliances.
In addition to
Susan, Dylan had a
longtime thing with
one of his
backup singers,
Carol Dennis, who
claims he's the
father of two of her
three children.
He romanced another
backup singer,
Carol Woods, for
years, and also
dated former Sony
exec Carol Childs.
There's a fourth
woman - also
named Carol - who
has canoodled
with Dylan in
California.
"He's got a thing
for "Carols,'"
laughed a music
exec. "He even has
an assistant named
Carol."
Notes one former
conquest: "He'll go
out with you once,
then say, "I'll call
you tomorrow' - but
you don't hear
from him for six
months. That's the
kind of guy he is."
But music industry
sources say Ross
seems to be Dylan's
main squeeze.
"He's no altar boy
- he's certainly
had his share of
entanglements," a
source said. "And
she's not stupid. But
they seem to have a solid
understanding."
The latest blow to
the Ross-Dylan
union came when
word surfaced
that Dylan had an
affair with Raquel
Welch. The screen
siren's camp
confirmed it, but
Ross supporters
called the story,
"absolutely absurd."
"That story was
particularly hurtful
to Susan's mother,"
blasts a pal. "She
wants him to do
right by her
daughter."
Dylan's spokesman,
Elliot Mintz, said,
"I never comment on
Bob's personal
life."
If Dylan is personally reading the manuscript then I cant see where it will be
an actual representation of the truth.

I've always maintained Dylan has what it takes to be President of the United
States.

Also does anyone really believe that if Dylan had been remarried that it
wouldnt have leaked out somewhere? Also, the issue of condentiality agreements
arises - if MISS ROSS obtained any of the information from people who have
signed confidentiality agreements then those details must be left out of the
book.
What people wont do for money - it's unreal.

Related BobTalk, from 2/24/78 during the band introductions:"On backup vocals,
Carol Dennis, my fiancee."
Of course he introduces another woman as "my chaffeur", so who knows.

If this book is for real, it raises some questions in my mind.
(1) What ever happened to the Ruth Tyrangiel's lawsuit?? The following are the last notes, posted on Boblinks, dated May 24, 1995. "Ruth Tyrangiel claims she lived with Bob Dylan for 20 years and contributed to his business decisions and his songwriting. She is suing for $5 million, plus unspecified palimony. This is the Motion to Compel Further Responses to Notice of Production of Documents at Deposition." Is the ladder of law this slow??
(2) Is Suzie Pullen still traveling with Bob? Has she been romantically involved with Bob? Since she was getting on his bus after many concerts, what is the link here? It was pointed out to me that her name is listed as one of the "thank yous" at the end of the "Unplugged" video. Is she responsible for more than pants and shirts??
(3) Is Bob just another Ben Franklin with untold, unnamed children? If true, is his behavior to be accepted as part of a genius's musical history where we all look the other way as we listen to and analyze his socially/personally responsible lyrics? Will the Pope get a signed copy of this book??
(4) Is Bob's supposed love life why Bill Clinton allegedly likes Bob a lot? Will Clinton allegedly be "honored" for a future 50 cent piece (when 50 cents isn't even worth 2 cents) where "God on our side" is replaced with "Lay Lady Lay"?? If these supposed love tales are in fact true, will Bob's popularity go up even more this year like Bill Clinton's recent polls have??
Should I consider throwing out all of my (small, but growing) Bob collection and start buying "Mormon Tabernacle Choir" CDs??
Answer: MYOB
His life is his. Can we scrutinize your life next?

If the stories are true, how do you know he doesn't take a responsible
attitude to these women and children? If he's been doing his best to
keep them out of being subjected to this sort of scrutiny, that's a
good start. In my view true morality is in how we behave to other
people, not in following a set of arbitrary rules.
nice arbitrary definition
Yes indeed, it's nothing but an arbitrary stipulation to think that
morality has something to do with how we behave towards other people.
