Would someone please shed some light on the question of who is Roman
Reska, and why we should sing one more chorus of "Dead Puppies" for
him.

Thanks!

Pasted from http://www.davesfunstuff.com/044iv008.htm

The song "Dead Puppies" has the mention of the name Roman Ruskin near the
end. He was a senator from Nebraska and he was the man that said it was OK
to be drab, boring, moderate, it was an American pasttime to be sort of a
drab, so they thought they'd dedicate it to him.

To aid your googling, the correct spelling is Roman Hruska.

I always wondered what they were saying. I always thought they said
"home in Wescott". I don't think that it was addressed on the website
for misheard lyrics.
