Does anybody have the lyrics to the song that starts with

"It's 40 below and I don't give a f**k,
got a heater in the truck,
and I'm off the the rodeo"

I have always liked it, and the recent cold spell here
reminded me of it.

Thanks.

It's called "The Rodeo Song" and I think the group is called Showdown.
I think it can be found on one of the Dr. Demento Presents records.

I don't have the lyrics, and have been looking in vain for the
album. I seem to recall its called "The Original Rodeo Song"
by a group called _Showdown_ -- does anyone out there have some
leads that'll help me find it?

Thanks -

The official title is "The Rodeo Song" by Garry Lee and Showdown.

The version on the Dr Demento album is the BLEEPed version, I believe.

The album is tough to find, but the 45 is pretty easy at larger RECORD
stores. (not these CD/CASSETTE ONLY stores)

The lyrics have strong language, be prepared

The lyrics:

Well, its 40 below and I don't give a fuck,
got a heater in my truck, and its off to the rodeo.

Its an alemema (sp?) left, and an alemana right
come on you fucking dummy get your right step right
Get off the stage, you goddamn goob, you know,...

Piss me off!!
Fucking Jerk!
Get on my Nerves!

Well, Here comes Johnny with his pecker in his hand,
he's a one ball man and he's off to the rodeo

Its an alemema left, and an alemana right
come on you fucking dummy get your right step right
Get off the stage, you goddamn goob, you know,...

Piss me off!!
Fucking Jerk!
Get on my Nerves!

[musical interlude]

Well, its 40 below and I got a heater in my truck
and I don't give a fuck, and its off to the rodeo.

Its an alemema left, and an alemana right
come on you fucking dummy get your right step right
Get off the stage, you goddamn goob, you know,...

Piss me off!!
Fucking Jerk!
Get on my Nerves!

At risk of sounding repetitious, here are the lyrics for the Rodeo Song (by
Showdown, and appearing, in the bleeped version, on the album _Demento's
Mementos_):

better hit 'n' now if you don't like swear words:

Well, it's forty below, and I don't give a fuck,
Got a heater in my truck, and I'm off to the rodeo,

[Chorus]
It's allemande left and allemande right,
C'mon you fuckin' dummy get your right step right,
Get off stage, goddamn goob, you know,
Piss me off,
Fuckin' jerk,
Get on my nerves,

Well, here comes Johnny with his pecker in his hand,
He's a one-ball man and he's off to the rodeo,

[Chorus]

[Musical bridge]

Well, it's forty below, and I ain't got a truck,
But I don't give a fuck, 'cause I'm off to the rodeo,

[Chorus]

Well, here comes Johnny with his pecker in his hand,
He's a one-ball man and he's off to the rodeo,

[Chorus]

[Grand finale]

and remember, don't say I didn't warn ya

It's "allemande;" why that square dance maneuver (whatever it is--I just know
the name! :-) is called "German" (and in French, at that!) is a mystery to
me, probably best pursued elsewhere.

The version of "The Rodeo Song" that I have is by Chuck Wagon and the Wheels.
I got it on "The Official Fat Cassette" from radio station KFAT, which used
to be in Gilroy, CA.
