My 8-year-old thinks tutu is the funniest word in the world. I vaguely
remember the song and would love to play it for him.
Thanks,

Yes, but it's Don't Mess With My Toot Toot, not tutu. Several Cajun/Zydeco
artists have recorded this. I think Rockin' Sydney had the biggest hit with
this.

Actually... it's both! "Toot Toot" & "Tu Tu"
The most popular version was Rockin' Sydney's "Don't Mess With My Toot Toot" but
there were other versions released around the same time. A couple of covers by
were done by female artists with the title changed to "Don't Mess With My Tu-Tu"
I have a 45 version by Jean Knight under that title. I think there was also a
version released by Denise LaSalle.

1) It's Rockin' Sidney (not Sydney); real name Sidney J. Simien
2) He wrote the song
3) His title for it was simply "My Toot-Toot", and that was how it
appears on his 1985 Epic EP of the same title and how it is registered
with BMI (although BMI also has "My Tu Tu" shown as an alternate title,
in order to track performances of the misnamed cover versions).
The song was remade for the 1985 Epic EP. It originally appeared on Rockn'
Sidney's album "My Zydeco Shoes Got The Zydeco Blues"
(Maison De Soul #1009) 1984.
