Is there a place for rec.music.dementia FAQ's?
I haven't heard about it.
If not, I think I may start compiling one myself.
Any suggestions as to what should be in it?

I won't have this list done EXTREMELY soon, but I will start on it.
I plan on including stuff like you mentioned, plus discographies for some of
the most popular artists on the show and info about them, and anything else
I can think of that would be good and relevant.

> Dr. D broadcasts live from KLSX FM in Los Angeles (8pm-10pm?)

> area code 213...call information (213-555-1212) for the number
> or listen to the show
As far as I know, he no longer has a publicly available number. This happened
when he switched to On the Radio broadcasting instead of Westwood One.
I will include the address, though, of course, and info on joining the club.

Actually, "Belvedere Cruising" was the first, in 1976. "School Cafeteria"
followed shortly afterwards.
"My Bologna" and a re-make of "School Cafeteria" (plus, I believe, "Baby
Likes Burping") were recorded in the bathroom across from his college radio
station, KCPR, San Luis Obispo. "Another One Rides the Bus" was recorded
live on the Dr. Demento Show. It was September 12, 1980, as I recall.
It went on to become the most requested song in the history of the show,
but it has since been surpassed by "Dead Puppies", and more recently, "Fish
Heads".
Thanks,
Jeff
