***NOTE***
DOES ANYBODY RELY ON THESE POSTINGS?
My ISP killed Usenet access ages ago, so I've been using groups.google.com for years.
I really hate to stop posting here because I've been doing so since 1992.
However for some reason Google is removing the ability to post to Usenet as of February 22, 2024, so it will no longer be easy for me to do that after show 24-07.
There has been very little activity in the newsgroup for a long time, so I'm guessing this won't bother anybody, and most people get the playlists from my web site or e-mail list and discuss the show on the Facebook group. But please let me know if you're actually still reading these here in rec.music.dementia and have no other way.

Dear Jeff,

Oh, we’re all reading your Demented posts as a cherished weekly reference;
jettison Google Groups and post via a real ISP that is a solid supporter of
supports Usenet in the past, present and future: News.Individual.Net !
(Only 10 Euros per year)…just do it!

Thanks for the suggestion! At this time, since there is virtually no discussion occurring here, just my weekly playlist posting and some playlists from A-Log, then occasionally a reply to a decades-old post, I'm not sure it's worth me continuing to post here. Are you able to get the playlist from my web site, mailing list, or Facebook?

After my query last week, I've received just 2 responses, yours and another in e-mail only. I'm sure there are other people reading who haven't replied, which is fine, but I'll be surprised if any of them don't have at least web or e-mail access in order to get the playlist.

Most of the discussion is taking place in the Facebook group rather than here, so I guess that's how things go. I abhor FB myself, and especially how hard it is to see only the new posts/comments without missing anything and without wading through comments you've already seen multiple times. A real newsreader doesn't have that problem, as it keeps track of what you've read already. But if that's where the discussion is, not here, I have to put up with it to whatever extent I care to. It does me no good to have a good newsreader for this group if virtually no one is posting here.

Some are still here reading and don't like FB.

You could just paste it here: https://www.novabbs.com/arts/thread.php?
group=rec.music.dementia

At least it's free and you don't need a newsreader.
