alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.dr_demento ???

[ZetaCeroSeis(Z06)]

Somebody created alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.dr_demento a while back, but it didn't
propogate very well. I have asked GIGANEWS to add it since they are THE BEST
newsserver.... 8-)

If they add it, I will start my daily show postings again.

The Dr. D. newsgroup also doesn't make it to genuity.net (nor its
clones: news.verizon.net, etc.), teranews.com (nor its clones:
bubbanews, etc.), biggulp.readfreenews.net.

Can someone list the servers that it *does* appear on?

Those of us who no longer get Dr. D over the air rely on Z06 and
others to get our dementia fix, and appreciate the time and effort
that goes into preparing the postings.

Giganews is looking into it.

The problem was that it wasn't created through the right channels.

Does it make it to DejaGoo? (http://groups.google.com) What about the
free subscription server, news.cis.dfn.de ?

This would be rec.music.demento. Neither one carries any binaries
AFAIK.

If you want a fancy news server you might want to find out if you can
get on an ISP which outsources usenet to that company. For example,
news.bway.net is the same as east.isp.giganews.com [216.166.71.236]
and there are numerous other ISP's which outsource to giganews,
supernews, et alia.

I can't do that, but I can tell you that it does NOT appear to have
been picked up by Athena News.

I think it only exists on "easynews" because their system allows users to create
newsgroups, but they don't get propogated around the net.... more of a local
group probably....

If anyone figures out how to make the newsgroup
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.dr_demento the proper way that it gets propogated around
to the servers, I have no problem posting a show everyday....

there was almost no content...it wasn't until I signed up with easynews that

Yes, I've asked TeraNews to add it (www.teranews.com) but they haven't yet.
I got a message from them today saying they will recompile the list this
