Who did "Hey Scotty"?

Does anyone know who recorded the novelty song "Hey Scotty", a 1986 Star
Trek parody to the tune of "Venus". I heard it on a Top 40 station at Penn
State (State College, PA) around Nov '86. For some reason, I think this is
the correct title, though typical lyrics go:

"He's Scotty, yeah baby, he's Scotty.
Mars or Venus, phaser's fire. It's his desire"

This question stumped the Demento Society and they suggested I post it here.
I appreciate any help.

I know this is damn late in coming, but if you're still interested, here is the answer.

"He's Scotty" was performed by the creative forces behind the mid-80s radio program "John Landers' Hit Music USA". I know the song aired Thanksgiving weekend 1986 and then was played again around late February 1987.
