His name was Ernest Jennings Ford. This time you put RFN for real first
and middle name. Sometimes you use RFMN for real first and middle name.

Actually GE was a part owner at first, then sold out, then bought the
whole company in the 1980s. The US Navy took over all the US assets of
the Marconi Company during WWI, so that valuable communications resources
would not be foreign controlled. After the war, the Navy sold it to a
consortium to US companies, including GE.

It was not intended as a logo. It was just used as a symbol during an ad
campaign, but it was good, so CBS kept it.

I never heard of this. I thought there was a song called "TUSC" or
"Tribute to USC". It's the song the band plays when the Trojans are on
defense.

These were added over the 24 years since I been collecting the birthdates.
Sometimes, in a hurry, a letter gets transposed or omitted. I didn't think about
the RFMN way until after I started doing the RNs and RFNs or RLNs, etc.
RN is short for RFLN or RFMLN.

At least before since the rock era began in 1955. This was the beginning of the
end of vinyl driving the singles in favor of CD singles and later downloads.

At least FM didn't play disco. :-)
"Tusk" is track 4 on side 4 of the double-LP of the same name. It was
written by Lindsey Buckingham and had been recorded by the group before
Mick Fleetwood came up with the idea of adding the marching band. It
was only the USC band parts that were recorded in Dodger Stadium, and
the primary difficulty was getting their performance in synch with the
pre-existing track. (The only significance to the "recorded live" tag
is that the band was recorded in open air rather than in a studio or
hall, as is usually the procedure for such backing or sweetening
sessions.) The single charted 15 weeks in 1979-80, peaking at #8.
I don't know about a "Tribute to USC", but during football games the USC
Marching Band plays a piece called "Tribute to Troy" after every
defensive stop by the Trojans.

What you should do is slowly change them all to RN and have it mean RFMLN.
Don't try to economize by not duplicating the last name. Were not using
110 baud modems anymore.

So is "Tusk" = "TUSC" = "Tribute to USC" = "Tribute to Troy" = "Tribute" =
"the song they play on defense" some Trojan pun which I disunderstood?

I know. I was back in 1986 when I started computerizing the dates
over 20 floppies at 360k each. I had a 7.2 Megabyte database.
Don't ask me how I did it. I forgot. This may take literally years over time.
There is no Trojan pun. The Lindsey Buckingham composition, "Tusk",
recorded by Fleetwood Mac, is not the same piece as "Tribute to Troy",
and has nothing to do with USC, its teams, its marching band or the
pieces it plays. If Mick Fleetwood hadn't come up with the idea to add
a marching band background to the already-finished recording, or had he
used the UCLA or Pasadena High School band instead of USC's for that
purpose, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
"Tusk" is not "TUSC".
"TUSC" and "Tribute to USC" probably do not exist in any form.
"Tribute to Troy" is what the USC band plays.
"Tusk" is not "Tribute to Troy".
