Robert O. Smith, I think, was the name of the guy doing the voices.

The Ballad of Walter Wart was done by The Thorndyke Pickledish Choir
on MTA Records.
The genius behind this record and others is Radio Personality Robert O
Smith. He has also recorded as Dr. ZinGrr of "Sinister Lunchmeat"
fame.
Years ago he sent me a collection of his recordings as well as some
air checks from his radio show (we're talking 1979 here). I have since
lost track of him and I would love to catch up with him again.
